Do you have the Forge magic download? if not, download it. It is usually up to date in releases and you can test to your hearts content against computers that can, and will, beat you. Otherwise, i suggest coming out to a draft one Friday. You get to create new decks, see all the cards and styles pretty much and its very friendly.
I have a home phone but rarely check it. The best way to keep in touch with me would have to be through facebook. You should add me and we can arrange a time to get together and play. I'm mostly into modern and legacy. Ya I kinda stopped coming after my roomate decided the trek wasn't worth it. I just got myself a new car though so now I'm alot more open and can come back and start playing, maybe find more people who play in like competitive mindsets as myself.
If you want to build a deck to play 1 vs 1 I would check out www.mtgtop8.com there are lots of deck lists there that have been winning high level tournaments. If you're looking to build a deck for multiplayer you can just search the General's name that you are wanting to build and there will be hundreds of decklists available.
